HOLD ME UP April 22.2016

In this date we celebrate the official national day for  "students with studying difficulties" as it become known to us all as a society of this very critical issue and so in this day we, a group of AUB students, worked together to start our first awareness campaign about this particular subject under the title of
"HOLD ME UP or HOLD ME DOWN"

this campaign ames to spread the word about "students with studying difficulties" and how to we are.

"HOLD ME UP or HOLD ME DOWN"
stands for all the things that students like us can hold us down from becoming the best of who we are and the things that hold us up to reach our biggest goals

In the event we handed out flyers to promote our campaign

The flyer explained a bit about
studying difficulties and how to work around it

In the back we featured a small bored to give example of what would hold a student down
and what would them up!

Nevertheless this campaign has inspired us to name our unnamed club for students with studying difficulties by "HOLD ME UP" as a positive name in hopes we reach our goals of rising more students with studying difficulties up and never let them down.

and so finally we asked students to write comments and complements on a white bored to express what they think of the condition and how they see it

some of the comments written:

hold me up section:
- the most artistic people I know are dyslexic
- learning is for everyone
- why is "dyslexia" the hardest word to spell
- disabled means different ability

hold me down section:
-I've been called mentally retarded
- sometimes I feel alone in all of this
- spelling mistakes control my vocabulary use
- low self confidence

I would like to thank all the people students and teachers that took the time to help in this project.
your support made all the different.
peace and love
may we all be always "held up"
